Crystal Palace youngster Mylo Bernard will join Arsenal this summer.
According to a report from The Athletic, the 16-year-old centre-forward has agreed to join the Premier League champions. Arsenal will have to pay training compensation.
Bernard is currently a free agent with his contract at Crystal Palace now up. Arsenal have done well to convince the player to join the club. The 16-year-old is highly rated across England, and he has a bright future. He could develop into a quality player for Arsenal with the right guidance. The Gunners have an excellent track record when it comes to nurturing young players, and they will hope to help Bernard fulfil his tremendous potential.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace will be disappointed to lose a top prospect like him.
He was an important player for the Eagles at the under-18 level. He is also an England youth international.
He will join up with the youth team at Arsenal now. It remains to be seen whether he can continue his development with regular football at the youth level and establish himself as an important first team player in future. Arsenal will be able to sign him for nominal compensation, and the deal could prove to be a huge bargain in the long term.
Meanwhile, Arsenal need to add more quality and depth to the first team as well. They should look to bring in a dynamic attacker who can play on the flanks and score goals consistently. They will also need to add more depth to the defensive unit, especially after the injury to William Saliba.
