Chelsea and Arsenal ready to battle for a Premier League wall

Arsenal and Chelsea go to war for this rock!
Chelsea and Arsenal are set to clash in one of the most anticipated derbies of the year-end, but the rivalry is already spilling off the pitch. According to Fichajes, the two London clubs are locked in a fierce battle to sign Murillo, Nottingham Forest’s breakout defensive star. The 23-year-old Brazilian, who has enjoyed an outstanding season and is now an international, is among the most sought-after players in the league.
Forest, fully aware of their gem’s value, are demanding between €80 and €90 million—a fee that could make Murillo one of the most expensive defenders in Premier League history. On Chelsea’s side, the interest is clear: repeated defensive injuries have undermined the squad’s stability, forcing the club to seek a reliable reinforcement who can make an immediate impact. Bringing in a player with such proven potential fits the Blues’ needs perfectly.
Arsenal, on the other hand, appear to be a much less likely contender. With one of the best defensive records in England—thanks to the likes of Gabriel, Saliba, Hincapié, and Mosquera—the Gunners have no urgent need to splash out for another centre-back. Unless there’s a dramatic turn of events, Chelsea seem best positioned to pull off a blockbuster signing that could set the tone for the winter transfer window.
