Arsenal have been handed a fitness boost with Ezri Konsa back in training ahead of Leeds United’s trip to the Emirates next Saturday.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Thomas Tuchel said on Friday that Konsa had completed full training before England’s Nations League game in Croatia on Sunday and Tuesday’s home meeting with the Czech Republic, describing him as a key player who offers hope.

The centre-back, 28, joined Arsenal from Aston Villa for £55m in the summer and featured for every minute of their last three Premier League matches before the international break.

Called up for four Nations League fixtures, he played the full 90 minutes of the opener against Spain, then was rested for the 2-0 win in the Czech Republic after a minor injury.

On Monday, Konsa and Nico O’Reilly followed individual programmes at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground, with O’Reilly later returning to Manchester City.

England’s remaining fixtures come before the Premier League resumes on Saturday lunchtime, when Leeds visit Arsenal.
