Arsenal can learn how much Barcola will cost with this latest update

Arsenal are one of the teams that can still sign Bradley Barcola in this transfer window, even though Liverpool have advanced in talks.

The Reds still do not have an agreement to add him to their squad in this window and will look to make that happen soon because, if they fail, they could lose the race to Arsenal. The Gunners are close to selling Gabriel Martinelli, and Barcola is one of the players being considered as his replacement, while Liverpool appear unwilling to pay what PSG want.

The Parisians would appreciate an auction for Barcola’s signature, as that would mean they could secure the best possible fee from the team most determined to add him to their squad.

Liverpool are currently the most serious team in the race for his signature, and the Reds see him as a player who can make their team stronger. They lead the race, but Arsenal can still beat them to the Frenchman.

The Gunners will be encouraged by the latest developments, particularly as they assess how much it could cost to complete a deal. With Martinelli close to leaving, Arsenal could decide to make a stronger move for Barcola.

“I still think Liverpool will place a formal bid between now and the end of the window.

“Ultimately, if it’s more than Morgan Rogers, it’s more than Elliot Anderson [£116m], and it’s closer in money to the Yan Diomande deal, it stands a very realistic chance of getting done.”

The comments suggest that Liverpool are expected to make a formal offer before the transfer window closes, but Arsenal remain in contention if they are prepared to meet PSG’s demands.

Liverpool may currently have the advantage, but the situation could change quickly if Arsenal decide to make their interest more concrete. Barcola could become an important replacement for Martinelli, while PSG would benefit from strong competition for the player’s signature.

With the window approaching its conclusion, Arsenal still have an opportunity to beat Liverpool to the deal.
