Rodrygo stayed at Real Madrid after the summer transfer window, despite ongoing speculation about his next destination. PSG was frequently linked to the winger, but no deal materialized.

Interest in Rodrygo from PSG has been mixed. Foot Mercato’s Josué Cassé reported that he wasn’t on the club’s target list. Nonetheless, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg indicated that both PSG and Liverpool were keeping a close eye on him, with Tottenham Hotspur no longer involved.

A move to Paris could still happen at the end of the season, depending on how his role at Real Madrid develops. Meanwhile, a few Premier League clubs have shown limited interest, though one team seems especially eager to bring him in.

With Rodrygo likely looking for a way out of Real Madrid, clubs will emerge as potential suitors. However, one Premier League side that won’t be eyeing the Brazilian, at least not at the moment, is Arsenal.

Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke pointed out that Arsenal aren’t in urgent need of a player like Rodrygo and suggested fans shouldn’t expect the north London club to pursue him during the January transfer window.

“If he’s unsettled and unhappy come next summer and looking to leave Real Madrid, there won’t be any shortage of takers for Rodrygo because he’s such a quality performer,” O’Rourke noted. “He’s proved that at Real Madrid over the years as well. For Arsenal, probably right now, he’s maybe not a priority for them because they’re so well stocked.

“Especially if they get all their injured players back in attacking places as well. They’ve got Madueke to come back, Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Odegaard. So yeah, I think it won’t be a top priority for them, but if a player like Rodrygo becomes available, you can have all the top clubs across the Premier League in Europe who would be interested in the Brazilian.”
