Arsenal defenders Riccardo Calafiori and Christhian Mosquera are set to miss out again when Arsenal host Liverpool on Thursday.
Calafiori has missed the last three league games and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that he is not ready to return for his side’s upcoming clash.
Mosquera, meanwhile, has been out since the start of December with an ankle injury.
Arteta hopes both will be back soon, however.
“I think pretty soon they have to go to the last stage of the rehab,” he said. “I think everything goes well, hopefully very soon they will be available for selection.”
Meanwhile, Kai Havertz has trained ahead of the game with the hope of being involved.
The forward returned to the Arsenal bench for the 4-1 win over Aston Villa and was an unused substitute, having been out since August with a knee injury.
But he was then left out of the squad for the 3-2 victory against Bournemouth, with Arteta saying they are “managing his load” after such a long time out.
“We are monitoring, obviously his load he has been out for a long time for two different reasons and he’s very close,” Arteta said.
“He trained this morning again and hopefully we’re going to have him available, and the best version of Kai Havertz.”
