Arsenal have had an enquiry for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott rejected, according to latest reports.
Bournemouth have no intention of selling Scott and instead want to tie him down to a new contract, BBC Sport say.
Scott is also attracting interest from Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his midfield this summer, with Scott among a number of targets which also include Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, Mateus Fernandes and Ayyoub Bouaddi.

According to a report from The Telegraph, meanwhile, Aston Villa have put a £130 million valuation on Arsenal’s top target Morgan Rogers.
Elsewhere, several senior players could leave Manchester City this summer following the appointment of Enzo Maresca, according to The Daily Mail.
Nathan Aké, Rúben Dias, Rico Lewis, Nico Gonzalez and Savinho are among those said to be facing uncertain futures at the club.
The Daily Mail also report Manchester United have no intention of selling Mason Mount this summer despite interest from AC Milan, who are said to be considering a £21.5 million bid for the midfielder.
And PSG and Liverpool target Yan Diomande says he “expects to leave” RB Leipzig.
