Arsenal are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a possible deal for England defender Jarrel Quansah, according to Sky Sports.
It’s reported that Leverkusen don’t want to sell, and it would likely take considerably more than the £30m the club paid to sign the player from Liverpool last summer. With French centre-back William Saliba set to be sidelined because of injury, Arsenal are now eyeing a replacement. According to The Athletic, the two clubs are yet to start talks regarding Quansah. However, it has been reported that the player is open to a switch if talks between the two clubs progress. During the 2025/26 season, Quansah has made 28 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen, scoring four goals. Quansah’s ability to play at right-back in addition to his role at center back has made him an ideal player for Mikel Arteta’s side. Liverpool had a €70 m buyback clause for Quansah, which has now expired, which means Leverkusen are under no obligation to sell the player. GGFN | Brook Genene
