Arsenal have made a strong move to try and entice Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, according to French outlet Le10Sport. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta remains keen on improving the Gunners’ attack and is looking to bring the France international to the Emirates Stadium club. PSG want to hand Barcola a new deal, but talks have not progressed well between both parties in recent weeks. As a result, a summer exit could be on the cards if the 23-year-old does not sign an extension, and Arsenal are monitoring his situation.

The North London club are not the only ones looking to bring Barcola to the Premier League, with Liverpool also keeping tabs on him. The Frenchman ended last term with 21 goals and 21 assists across all competitions and has weighed in with five goals and three assists this term. The Gunners target has been involved in 50 goals since last term, and Arteta could do with such an attacker in the final third despite his current options.

Barcola plays on both wings as he is comfortable on both feet, and he can also play as a striker. Arsenal love versatile players and it is clear to see why the PSG star is on their radar. They strengthened their attack during the summer transfer window with the additions of Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze, but recent injuries have proven costly. The Gunners have dropped points in three of their last five league games, with only two points separating them from second-place Manchester City. Arsenal could lose the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli at the end of the season, and they will need to bring in reinforcements.

Barcola fits the bill, and the Gunners will be signing a top player if they can convince him to ditch PSG for them.
