Arsenal loanee assists for 2nd consecutive league game | OneFootball

Arsenal loanee Ismeal Kabia provided his second assist in two league games with Shrewsbury Town at the weekend, as he continues to impress and improve.

Despite a strong start to his loan with Shrewsbury Town, it took a while for Arsenal youngster Ismeal Kabia to get involved in the goals or assists for the club.

That changed on October 25th, as Kabia set up Tommy McDermott for a 91st-minute goal to give them the lead against Oldham Athletic.

After a break for the FA Cup, Shrewsbury returned to League Two action on Saturday against Crewe Alexandra, and Kabia provided another assist to make it two in two league games. This time he was setting up Josh Ruffels equaliser in the 29th minute.

The assist was a relatively simple one, a pass across the top of the penalty area followed by a long-range finish.

But Kabia has earned one or two straightforward goal contributions given he’s created 13 chances across his 10 league games. No other League Two teenager has created more this season.

Though there were no goal contributions for Kabia in the previous week’s FA Cup win over South Shields, the Arsenal loanee was once again involved in the build-up for a couple of the goals in the 3-1 win.

Perhaps there’s no better indicator of Kabia’s strong performances than the simple fact that he’s playing so regularly. 12 games into his loan, the 19-year-old has started 12 times.
