Jakub Kiwior is closing in on a return from injury after resuming training with FC Porto, providing a timely boost as the Arsenal loanee prepares to rejoin his teammates following a recent muscle problem.
The Poland international missed Porto’s last two matches against Nacional and Rio Ave after suffering the injury during the Clásico with Sporting, but has now returned to training ahead of the meeting with Arouca.
Kiwior’s recovery comes during a demanding period in Porto’s schedule and follows a strong defensive run for the Portuguese side, who currently hold the best defensive record in Europe with just seven goals conceded in 23 league matches.

The defender has played a significant role in that record, with Porto conceding only three goals across the 16 league games in which he has featured, losing just once during that period.
Kiwior joined Porto on deadline day in August 2025 on a season-long loan that includes an obligation to buy in summer 2026, effectively bringing his Arsenal career to a close.
The agreement consists of a reported €2m loan fee and a mandatory €17m transfer, with up to €5m in add-ons and a sell-on clause included, for the defender Arsenal signed from Spezia in January 2023 for €19.5m.
