In a recent post on X, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Arsenal remain keen on recruiting Club Brugge wide player Christos Tzolis. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are eager to get a deal done for the Greek winger, who favours a move to North London this summer.

Tzolis’ Incredible Numbers In Belgian Football

Tzolis had an excellent campaign at Club Brugge last season when he put in a lot of productive displays for them in the Jupiler Pro League. The 24-year-old found the back of the net 22 times and earned 29 assists in 52 matches for the Belgian outfit in the previous campaign across all fronts.

The Greek talent is currently among the most talented wide players in European football. Hence, it is no wonder that the Gunners are hoping to get him on board later this year.

His current contract at Club Brugge will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

What Will Tzolis Add To Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta’s Side?

Tzolis is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.

The Greek sensation is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also operate as a right-winger if told to do so. Tzolis has proven himself to be a consistent performer in Belgian football. However, the jury is still out on whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Gunners manage to snap him up later this year.

We can expect Tzolis to add more firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.

At 24, Tzolis has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a good choice for the Gunners to pursue in this transfer window. He will also help Arsenal compete for some major trophies over the next few years. Thus, the Gunners would be wise to move in for him before the end of this transfer period.
