Arsenal attacker Noni Madueke bagged his first England goal in the 5-0 win over Serbia last night.
The 23-year-old was a constant threat throughout the game, with his menacing dribbling causing problems for Strahinja Pavlovic.
Madueke won four of his five duels. He completed 20/22 passes and one dribble. He took his goal well, storming behind the defence before finishing expertly.
The Gunners paid a significant amount for his services and will be hoping he can replicate these kinds of sensational performances for the club.
Madueke has always been a highly rated prospect, but he needs to demonstrate consistency in his performances to take the next step.
Fans will hope to see him put on a similar clinic when Mikel Arteta’s side faces Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Arsenal talisman Bukayo Saka has been pictured in training after a knock, but he may not be risked against Forest.
Arsenal will also hope Declan Rice maintains his current form after two solid performances over the international break.
Rice scored in England’s first fixture versus Andorra, earning rave reviews for his performance. He followed it with another strong showing against Serbia.
His set-piece deliveries are excellent, and he set up Harry Kane’s opener with a pinpoint corner. Marc Guehi also turned in his cross from a free-kick to make it 4-0.
He completed 44 of his 46 passes, fired off seven shots, and registered five touches inside the opposition box.
Rice won three of his four duels and regained possession three times. He also created three chances, recording two assists.
