Arsenal star visits former club’s training facility to step up return from injury

Cristhian Mosquera is injured and has missed Arsenal’s last few matches, with his return date still unknown, but the setback has not stopped him from travelling during this international break.

Because he is injured, Mosquera has not been called up by any national team, giving him an opportunity to return to his former club and visit the people who helped shape his career.

Mosquera returns to Valencia

Football London reports that the defender has visited Valencia during this international window to see people who have been part of his journey. More importantly, he is also using their facilities to train and prepare for his return to action.

Valencia are the club that developed Mosquera, and he demonstrated his quality with their first team before attracting the attention of Arsenal. The Gunners eventually signed him after he had established himself in Spanish football.

His return to Valencia allows Mosquera to continue working on his fitness while remaining close to the environment where his career developed. With his recovery still ongoing, maintaining his preparation will be important before he can return to Arsenal’s squad.

Mosquera remains part of Arsenal’s plans

Last season, Mosquera enjoyed plenty of game time and helped the Gunners win the Premier League title, becoming a league champion during his first season at the club.

Mosquera is keen to achieve more success and play more regularly, but he must complete his recovery before Arsenal can consider putting him back on the pitch. The club will therefore have to remain patient while he works towards full fitness.

There is little doubt that Mosquera remains part of the manager’s plans and will continue to have an opportunity to demonstrate that he is a player Mikel Arteta can trust.

For now, the defender’s priority is to recover fully and return to competitive action. His time at Valencia during the international break allows him to continue preparing for that return while reconnecting with the club that helped develop him.
