They will also face competition from Tottenham to sign the Spanish forward in the transfer window. Torres was linked with a move away from the club in the January transfer window, but Barcelona decided against selling him at the end of the transfer window.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta knows the player well from his stint at Manchester City. He has also looked to sign the player in the recently closed winter transfer window. They were looking to sign an attacker after the injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus. Moreover, Kai Havertz and Jesus have struggled to score consistent goals, and hence a player of the calibre of Torres could go on to strengthen the attack for Arteta.

Known for his precision in finishing and intelligent off-the-ball movements, Torres is versatile and capable of playing across the front line. He has appeared in 16 matches this season in the La Liga, playing a total of 642 minutes. Therefore, he definitely needs game time and will look to play at a club where he can play consistently.
