Arteta hails ‘brilliant’ Arsenal fans and savours ‘magical moment’ after reaching Carabao Cup final | OneFootball

Mikel Arteta hailed the energy brought by the Arsenal fans as his side progressed to the final of the Carabao Cup.

The Gunners set up a Wembley clash with either Manchester City or Newcastle after beating Chelsea 4-2 on aggregate over two legs.

Kai Havertz scored a winner in the second leg at the Emirates Stadium and Arteta says it was a “magical” moment for the club and the supporters.

“I think the crowd was brilliant today,” he said. “They brought so much energy and belief to the team in different moments and it was very much needed.

“I think we all deserve to be together at Wembley in a few weeks’ time.

“The energy was very good from the beginning, I sensed it was different and yeah, they are on board.

“To have these moments together is just magical. You can see the joy, the smile and the energy in the dressing room and in everybody that works at the club.”
