Brazil coach Arthur Elias has ruled out Corinthians midfielder Ana Vitória for tonight’s Fifa Series decider against Canada, scheduled for 22:30 Brasília time.

According to Meu Timao, the player has not been cleared from the concussion protocol after a head knock in the first week of training and is unavailable.

Elias explained that concussion recovery is assessed day by day with progressive stimuli. The staff initially anticipated a five-day protocol typical of a mild case, but slower daily responses have extended the process. He underlined player welfare and returning athletes to clubs in full condition, adding they want zero risk.

Fifa and the CBF apply IFAB guidance for concussion, which requires clinical tests proving no symptoms and at least five days out after a concussion substitution, along with a detailed medical questionnaire.

Other Corinthians players in the Brazil squad, goalkeeper Lelê, centre-back Thaís Ferreira, right-back Gi Fernandes and midfielder Duda Sampaio, remain available.

The winner-takes-all meeting will decide the Fifa Series title. Brazil have 6 points after beating South Korea 5-1 and Zambia 6-1. Canada also have a perfect record, while Brazil hold the draw advantage on goal difference, nine to seven.

Corinthians return on Monday to face Juventude in round seven of the Brasileirão Feminino at 21:00 at Estádio Montanha dos Vinhedos. The Brabas lead the competition with 13 points from six matches.
