Arthur Masuaku unsure over Sunderland future as he prepares pre-season return | OneFootball

Arthur Masuaku says he does not yet know where his future lies as he prepares to report back for Sunderland’s pre-season.

“Honestly, I don’t know,” he said. “At the end of the month I will return to training at my club, I will play and regarding the rest of my career my agent will handle it. For now I’m going back to my club.” He told Sports News Africa.

The left-sided defender signed last summer after promotion, featured for six months on Wearside, then joined Lens on loan in January in search of regular football.

His remarks indicate he will report back as things stand, although no final decision has been taken on his long-term future.

Sunderland are shaping their squad for a season in the Premier League and Europa League. This summer Granit Xhaka’s future has been settled and Eliezer Mayenda has completed a move to Rennes, with further ins and outs under Régis Le Bris now the focus.
