Today is the day.
Chelsea face a terrifying PSG team in the Club World Cup final tonight… and we can’t wait.
This whole tournament has been enjoyable, but the one thing it has missed has been a game against a really top team – well now we have one, and then some. PSG dominated in the Champions League this season and then brought that form to the CWC, tearing apart Real Madrid in the semis 4-0.
Former Blue Frank Leboeuf has already warned that this game could be a “lesson” for his former team, and that he was a little “scared” for them.

The London is Blue podcast outlined the size of the task at hand for Maresca and his men:
“[PSG] are the best team in the world. They do everything we do, but twice as fast and more clinically,” presenter Nick Verlaney explained.
“They are extremely, extremely good. They’re incredibly difficult to pick up from a defensive point of view because their players interchange. They break as fast as I’ve seen a team break on the counter in a very long time. So if you give up the ball, they are straight at you. Their midfield is tremendous, with Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz.”
Despite that rather terrifying rundown, Verlaney also agreed with us that this game was actually one to look forward to:
“I wanted this game. We may lose, but that’s all part of this [Club World Cup experience] but I would rather us really compete against the best, so I’m really excited for this.”
