AS Monaco have inquired about Como’s Maxence Caqueret | OneFootball

AS Monaco are reported to have made enquiries with Como 1907 to explore the terms of a potential transfer for Maxence Caqueret (26), according to information from journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Following the departure of Aladji Bamba (20) to Newcastle United and with Lamine Camara (22) in high demand, the Principality club is looking to plan ahead and is reportedly working on a shortlist, in case the Senegalese player were also to leave.

Whilst nothing is concrete at this stage, initial discussions have nevertheless begun regarding Caqueret, who is under contract until 2029.

Having arrived on the shores of Lake Como from Olympique Lyonnais in January 2025, the Venissieux-born player quickly established himself as a key member of Cesc Fàbregas’s squad. Making 36 appearances across all competitions last season, Caqueret contributed two goals and six assists.

Should he join Monaco, the midfielder would be returning to a league he knows well, having made nearly 150 appearances in Ligue 1.
