Monaco's injury crisis has deepened, with Lukas Hradecky and Christian Mawissa added to the absentee list and Mamadou Coulibaly sent off, and all three will miss several matches. Pressure is mounting on the club's performance department.
According to Nice-Matin, Thiago Scuro said the club will hold extensive talks to find causes and that, if answers do not emerge, staff changes could be considered.
Monaco lost 3-1 to Lyon on Saturday. Hradecky departed in the 12th minute after Sulc landed on his knee, having initially tried to continue. Mawissa followed on the 36th minute with a right hamstring issue, and Coulibaly now awaits a disciplinary verdict, with a suspension of at least three or four matches not ruled out.
Hradecky has a knee sprain, this time in his right knee rather than the left. No timeframe has been disclosed, and it could be weeks or even months, as a similar problem kept him out from August to mid-November.
Mawissa has a right hamstring problem. The 20-year-old has already missed games with issues in both hamstrings and a relapse after returning, prompting questions over his management.
Pape Cabral has also suffered a hamstring problem and is expected to be out for about two months. They join Minamino, Vanderson and Pogba on the sidelines, while Camara and Diatta are at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Questions have also been raised about a Russian kinesiologist installed by president Dmitry Rybolovlev, whose influence on muscle strengthening is being linked by some to certain injuries. Any solution in that area would rest with the president.
