Fans of the "La Pioche" will have to wait a few more weeks—Paul Pogba is once again sidelined for AS Monaco.
After suffering an ankle injury yesterday in training, Paul Pogba is ruled out for tomorrow’s clash against Paris FC. Speaking at a press conference, Sébastien Pocognoli discussed the Frenchman’s situation. “Paul suffered an ankle injury yesterday in training. We’re waiting for confirmation regarding the severity, but yes, he will be absent tomorrow. His ankle twisted a bit, so we need to wait for further tests. He managed to finish the session yesterday, which could be a positive sign, but we need to be sure, and today he was not at 100% to put his foot down,” he stated.
“It’s not easy, that’s what he told me, but I’m trying to put things in perspective and keep him positive. He’s been waiting for so long—if it’s just two more weeks out, that’s not much, that’s how we’re looking at it. Of course, he wants to play, but his return is just a bit delayed. The objective is to have him available after the international break. We’re all disappointed, but we have a match to play tomorrow. (…) I hope it’s just a sprain, and a matter of one or two weeks, but I invite you to wait for the final verdict.” added Sébastien Pocognoli.
