AS Monaco seek to extend Paris Brunner contract, with Borussia Dortmund keeping buy-back clause | OneFootball

AS Monaco are reported to have opened negotiations with the entourage of Paris Brunner (20) to extend their striker’s contract, according to information from L’Équipe.

Under contract with AS Monaco until 2028, the young German has established himself as one of the standout performers of the early Ligue 1 season, having scored six goals in seven appearances across all competitions.

Such momentum has naturally not gone unnoticed abroad, particularly across the Rhine, where Borussia Dortmund could take advantage of a clause included in his contract at the time of his transfer from the Rhineland club to ASM to re-sign him.

However, it should be noted that this clause would not give BvB priority in this matter, but would allow them to match an offer from another club – should such an offer arise. In other words, if Borussia wish to bring Brunner back, they will need to convince not only the Monaco management, but also the player himself.
