AS Roma sets its terms for Dybala: accept or leave

Paulo Dybala’s future at AS Roma has never been more uncertain. With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, the Argentine striker will only be able to continue his Roman adventure on one condition: he must agree to halve his salary.

Facing serious financial difficulties, Roma has decided to trim its wage bill. Dybala, who currently earns around €8.5 million per year, has been offered a new contract worth only €4 million. This firm stance also applies to other key players in the squad.

Yet, the World Cup winner has remained highly effective, netting 45 goals and providing 26 assists since his arrival. But in Rome, discipline now takes precedence over sentiment. This situation could play into the hands of Boca Juniors, often mentioned as a possible destination, especially since Dybala has never hidden his desire to one day return to Argentina.
