Kasımpaşa 0-1 Samsunspor as Kouadou Assoumou's stoppage time header settled the Süper Lig clash at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu, ending the visitors' seven-match winless run and lifting them from seventh to sixth.

Assoumou decided it in the second minute of second half stoppage time, glancing in Antoine Makoumbou's cross from the centre of the box.

Before the break, Andreas Gianniotis kept Kasımpaşa level with smart stops to deny Olivier Ntcham. Okan Kocuk then saved from Irfan Can Kahveci as chances came at both ends.

After the hour, Kasımpaşa introduced Jim Allevinah and Cem Üstündag, and Allevinah soon created a fine opening that Habib Gueye lifted over. Later, an injury to Kahveci briefly halted play before the late twist.

Kasımpaşa struggled for a cutting edge, registering one shot on target from 11 attempts. Samsunspor were tidier in the box, producing three efforts on target from eight.

Next, Kasımpaşa visit Gaziantep. Samsunspor host Bodrum in the Türkiye Kupasi.
