Aston Villa alter Walsall date as Far East tour and Hong Kong finale set | OneFootball

Aston Villa have adjusted their pre-season, moving a Walsall friendly and confirming Far East fixtures that end with Bayern Munich in Hong Kong.

Pre-season starts at Walsall on Tuesday, 21 July, with a 7.30pm kick-off. According to ExpressAndStar.com, Unai Emery’s side will then fine-tune before flying east.

The Real Sociedad match at Walsall’s Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium has been pushed back from Saturday, 25 July to Tuesday, 28 July, with a 7.30pm start.

Villa face the Indonesia All Stars in Jakarta on Saturday, the first of August, kicking off at 7pm local time.

They then meet BG Pathum United in Thailand on Tuesday, the fourth of August, at 7.30pm.

The Asian swing concludes against Bayern in Hong Kong on Friday, the seventh of August, in the inaugural Audi Football Summit, a repeat of the 1982 European Cup final.

The Europa League winners then play the European Super Cup against two-time Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in Salzburg on Wednesday, 12 August. A trip to Borussia Monchengladbach follows on Saturday, 15 August, before Villa open the Premier League at Brighton on Sunday, 23 August, at 2pm on Sky Sports.
