In a recent report, En Son Haber revealed that Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Besiktas striker Semih Kılıçsoy. It has been stated that the Villans are monitoring the progress of the Turkish forward.
Kilicsoy is a product of Besiktas’ youth system and deserves a ton of credit for breaking out as a first-team starter at the Turkish club last year. The Turkish youngster has found the back of the net six times and picked up one assist in 15 matches for his current employers this season across multiple competitions.
The 18-year-old has led the line well by averaging 2.4 shots, 0.5 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Turkish Super Lig. He has even distributed the ball relatively well after making 75.9% of his attempted passes in the Turkish top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current deal at Besiktas will expire in the summer of 2028. Therefore, it won’t be easy for the Villans to sign him on a cut-price deal before the end of this month.

Kilicsoy can engineer some space for himself to get some shots in at goal. He can score a few important goals for his team in the final third and can create the odd chance for others around him in and around the opponent’s penalty box.
The Turkish prospect can even make a few clever runs with the ball up top. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a winger on either flank if asked to do so by his manager.
There is no doubt that Kilicsoy is a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Aston Villa would do well to get him on board. At 18, he has the potential to become a world-class player in his position someday.
Unai Emery could be the ideal man to oversee his development at Villa Park and get the best out of him in the coming seasons. All in all, the West Midlands club would be wise to try everything in their power to lure Kilicsoy to English football before the end of this transfer window.
