Aston Villa have confirmed the departure of women's manager Robert de Pauw.
The Dutchman joined the Women's Super League outfit last summer on a three-year contract following two seasons in charge with Bayer Leverkusen.
But the Villans parted with De Pauw after a return of one win from his side's opening nine league fixtures that leave them just one point outside the relegation zone.
It has been confirmed that former Manchester City striker Shaun Goater will take temporary charge while the search for the 43-year-old's successor continues.
Villa are in action against Charlton Athletic in Wednesday's League Cup tie.
