Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal were the fixed starters in Hansi Flick’s forward line at FC Barcelona last season. However, because of the physical demands of such a hectic season, it was essential for the German coach to rotate these starters at regular intervals.
For this purpose, the Blaugrana coach also had a very dependable player in his ranks, i.e., the Spanish forward Ferran Torres. Although he was not a regular starter for Flick, he still played a lot of minutes last season, and his performances when replacing Lewandowski, who was injured at a crucial last stage of the season, were particularly impressive.
With these performances, the Spaniard’s demand in the market has increased significantly, especially when compared to last year, when some clubs were not even willing to offer more than €20 million for him.
Now, some clubs are willing to spend a greater amount of money on him, and according to Fichajes, one such club is the Premier League side Aston Villa. Unai Emery’s team is looking at Torres as a strategic addition to their team, and is willing to submit a €50 million offer to sign him.

With the 2024-25 season he has had, the Spaniard would naturally want to continue growing at Barcelona. However, there is also the threat of him losing prominence as the Catalans are looking to bring more reinforcements for their forward line, and their top two candidates for this purpose, Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford, can both play across the forward line.
This can prompt Ferran Torres to look for a change of scenery, and Aston Villa are looking to take advantage of any doubts emerging in the player’s mind to convince him to come back to the Premier League, where he has already played with Manchester City.
The report claims that Monchi, the Aston Villa Sporting Director, is already planning an offensive for the forward, but it remains to be seen how this story develops.
