Aston Villa have added to their frontline options once more this summer with the arrival of Brazilian international Gabi Nunes.
The foward has penned a two-year deal with the club, with the option of a further year, in a move that sees her depart Spanish side Levante after one year.
The 27-year-old, who turned professional with Centro Olimpico in 2014, has had spells with Brazilian club Corinthians and Madrid CFF.
Not only does Nunes have extensive experience playing in leagues across the world, but she's also represented her country a total of 22 times, playing a pivotal role in helping Brazil win a silver medal at the most recent Paris 2024 Olympics.
New Villa manager Robert de Pauw has been busy this summer, making multiple additions to his squad covering all positions across the pitch in an effort to improve upon their seventh-spot finish last season.
Speaking about Nunes' talent and what she can bring to the team, de Pauw said: "I first saw Gabi a few years ago; she is a technically gifted plater who knows how to find the goal.
"Gabi is a player who knows how to play in tight areas as well as arriving into the box and getting on the end of the crosses. She can play in several attacking positions and will contribute towards our continued development."
Nunes will work closely up front with new recruit Katie Robinson, who made the move from WSL rivals Brighton, where she scored ten goals last season.
Elsewhere, the club have made multiple additions to their midfield, with the arrival of Miri Taylor, Jill Baijings and Missy Bo Kearns.
