However, he wants to continue his career in London after enjoying working under Alonso during the Asian tour.

The Senegal international is confident he can play a role and help Chelsea qualify for Europe.

However, he may not have his wish granted. The Blues currently have five strikers on their books.

Joao Pedro is regarded as the club’s first-choice option, while they also have Liam Delap, Marc Guiu and Emanuel Emegha.

Chelsea are open to selling Jackson but want £65 million for him

Villa manager Unai Emery is an admirer of the Senegalese footballer, whom he managed during his time at Villarreal.

They are looking to find a replacement for Morgan Rogers, who joined Chelsea in a £117m move earlier this summer

Villa have identified Jackson as an option, but will not pay the asking price.

The 25-year-old mainly operates as a striker but can also play on either flank. He has scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for Chelsea

He is not a clinical finisher, but he is renowned for his pace, work-rate and link-up play.
