Atalanta confirm Kossounou out for at least a month with thigh injury | OneFootball

Atalanta will be without Odilon Kossounou for at least a month after a thigh injury was confirmed, having already ruled him out of last night’s 2-0 defeat to Juventus.

The club said in a statement that the 25-year-old has a medium-high grade lesion to the femoral bicep in his left thigh.

He sustained the problem in training, and the extent was only established following in-depth tests this afternoon.

Despite the long international break, La Dea are unlikely to have him available for their next fixtures.

The Ivory Coast international has featured in four Serie A matches this season, as well as both legs of the Conference League play-offs.

It is another setback for Atalanta, who are already without defender Isak Hien and forward Kamaldeen Sulemana. They have suffered three consecutive Serie A defeats under coach Maurizio Sarri going into the break.
