Atalanta are set to sack their coach, Ivan Juric, and are finalising talks with Raffaele Palladino, who is expected to sign a contract until 2027.

November 10 is not a happy day for Juric, who, at this time of the year in 2024, was sacked by Roma and replaced by Claudio Ranieri.

The same scenario is being repeated now as Atalanta have already informed the Croatian tactician that he’ll be sacked. Only the final formal steps need to be taken before the club confirm their decision with an official statement.

We had already reported last week that games against Marseille and Sassuolo would determine the coach’s future and Sunday’s 3-0 home loss to Sassuolo led to Juric’s departure.

Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that Atalanta are finalising talks with Palladino, who is seen as the ideal profile to replace Juric.

The Percassi family also appreciates Roberto Mancini, but the ex-Italy coach has never been a genuine candidate for the job.

Palladino is expected to sign a one-and-a-half-year contract until June 2027, but the latest details, including add-ons, will be discussed in the coming hours.

Atalanta have only won two Serie A games this season and the club hope the new coach will be able to revive new signings, starting with Nikola Krstovic, who have given little satisfaction so far.
