According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the parties have been haggling for over a year but haven’t struck a deal yet. The matter is urgent, considering that his deal runs out in 2027. He would have been put on the market to prevent an exit for zilch in other circumstances, but it hasn’t occurred.

Anguissa is irked by the stalemate with Napoli, but the situation won’t affect his effort level in training and on the pitch. He won’t twist the team’s arm to force his way out with unprofessional behavior.

Atalanta took the first step to signal that they could table an offer if there were an opening, Corriere dello Sport informs. The contacts with his entourage and the Partenopei have only been preliminary. Massimiliano Allegri fully counts on him for the upcoming season. His agents, Maxime Nana and Giovanni Branchini, visited their second retreat a few weeks ago. There’s a €700/800k gap between the proposed new salary and the request.
