Sancet was the standout in Athletic’s player ratings against Betis, with Iñaki Williams central and Vivian on the scoresheet.

Early on, Laporte’s corner header was blocked and a leggy Betis offered little before the interval. According to El Correo, Sancet struck late in the half from an Iñaki Williams pass.
