Corinthians visit Athletico Paranaense on 19 in a rearranged Brasileirão match at Arena da Baixada, which may go ahead with home sections limited to women, children and older people under an STJD sanction.

The measure follows a fight between Athletico supporters during the derby with Coritiba at Couto Pereira in the 2025 Série B, after which the STJD imposed loss of home advantage and a R$ 15,000 fine. Athletico said in a statement that it will confirm on its official channels once the fixture designated for serving the sanction is set.

The restriction is expected to apply against Corinthians, though it could be enforced in a later round depending on CBF administrative procedures. As an STJD ruling, the penalty must be served in competitions run by the CBF.

The punishment does not extend to the away end. Corinthians supporters will have normal access to the stadium.

Athletico handled a similar situation in 2024, when they faced Galo Maringá in the Campeonato Paranaense and more than 33,000 attended at Arena da Baixada, mostly women, children and older people. The hosts won 2-1.

Before the rearranged date, both play in round three on 12. Corinthians host Red Bull Bragantino at 20:00 at Neo Química Arena, while Athletico meet Santos at 19:00 at Arena da Baixada.
