Thomas Lemar has joined Elche on a season-long loan from Atlético de Madrid. L'Équipe reports that the 2018 World Cup winner, now 30, will remain in La Liga for another campaign.
Elche sit 19th after three matches, taking one point from a 0-0 draw at Deportivo La Coruña on the opening day, followed by two defeats.

Lemar spent last season on loan at Girona, playing 27 matches and scoring three goals despite the club’s relegation.
He remains under contract with Atlético until 2028, and has not completed a full season there since 2022-2023.
The France international won 27 caps between 2016 and 2021, scoring four goals.
