Atlético Madrid fans unveil new Conor Gallagher chant | OneFootball

The home crowd in attendance at Atlético Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Girona on Sunday showed their appreciation for a new member of the club’s squad.

The player in question? Conor Gallagher.

Midfielder Gallagher, of course, at last sealed his long-awaited arrival in Spain’s capital earlier this week.

As part of an agreement which also saw João Félix head in the opposite direction to Chelsea, the England international penned terms with Diego Simeone’s troops through the summer of 2029.

And, on Sunday, the Atlético faithful were afforded their first glimpse of the club’s new midfield star lining out in Rojiblancos colours.

En route to an impressive 3-0 drubbing of Girona, Gallagher was introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half.

And the 24-year-old wasted little time in making his presence felt, endearing himself to the home crowd courtesy of his trademark all-action stylings.

As much even gave rise to a personalised chant, heard ringing around the Wanda Metropolitano late in proceedings tonight, as showcased below:
