Aleksandar Stankovic and his breakout season at Club Brugge has attracted widespread attention across Europe, but Inter Milan still hold a decisive advantage as they consider activating their buyback clause.
The Serbian talent has impressed in both the Belgian Pro League and Champions League.
Indeed, prompting interest from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, RB Leipzig, Atalanta and Atletico Madrid.
According to Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Atletico boss Diego Simeone is particularly keen on the midfielder, the son of his longtime friend and former teammate Dejan Stankovic.

Inter negotiated carefully with Brugge last summer to retain control over the player’s future.
The Nerazzurri secured a buyback option set at €23 million.
Meanwhile also inserting a 50% sell-on clause valid until 2027 should they decide against bringing him back to San Siro.
That decision is now under serious consideration in Milan, where Stankovic’s development has been closely monitored.
The player himself has done little to hide his feelings.
“I dream of returning to Inter. Every Nerazzurri fan can understand that. I have a special relationship with Chivu,” he told Sky Sport.
With elite clubs circling and the midfielder’s stock rising rapidly, Inter must now decide whether to secure a future asset, or risk losing one of their most promising academy products to Europe’s transfer market.
