AS reports that Atlético Madrid are targeting Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Aleix Garcia, with a €25 million budget for the deal. Bild adds the La Liga club view him as a potential replacement for Conor Gallagher.

The 28-year-old is being linked with a return to Spain. Gallagher was recently sold to Tottenham for €40 million.

Garcia has become a key figure in Leverkusen’s midfield this season. Die Werkself currently look unlikely to let him go.

Bild also reports that Leverkusen have yet to receive an enquiry from Atlético.

He is on a long-term contract until 2029.
