Mundo Deportivo reports that Atlético Madrid have accelerated negotiations to sign Leon Goretzka before Monday’s deadline.
Diego Simeone is prioritising midfield reinforcements. Following the departure of Conor Gallagher to Tottenham Hotspur, the La Liga side are short in that area.

Bayern Munich are understood to want around €20 million, a figure Atlético currently view as too high.
With Goretzka set to be a free agent at the end of the season, the fee could be lower.
