Atletico Madrid and Club Brugge face off on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League knockout play-off, with the tie finely balanced at 3-3 after an action-packed first game in Belgium.
Atletico will aim to make the most of playing at the Metropolitano as they push for a spot in the last 16, while Brugge head to Spain in good spirits after a strong run in their domestic league and their late comeback in the first leg.
The Spanish side is still missing midfielders Nicolas Gonzalez and Pablo Barrios, who are out with muscle and thigh problems and are not expected back until early March.
Apart from those injuries, Diego Simeone has no players suspended, so he can choose from the rest of his senior squad.
Striker Alexander Sørloth goes into the match in excellent form after scoring twice in Atletico’s 4-2 fightback victory over Espanyol at the weekend.
Ademola Lookman has also started brightly in Madrid, recording four goals and two assists in his first six games for Atletico in all competitions, and he will be keen to keep that momentum going in this crucial Champions League clash.
Possible Atletico Madrid starting XI: Oblak; Molina, Pubill, Hancko, Ruggeri; Simeone, Koke, Llorente, Lookman; Sorloth, Alvarez
The match will kick off at 5:45pm BST on Tuesday, 24th February.
In the UK, Atletico Madrid vs Club Brugge will be broadcast live on TNT Sports 3 with coverage available via the Discovery+ streaming platform as part of TNT’s exclusive UEFA Champions League rights in the 2025-26 cycle.
