Serie A side Inter have been pushing to sign Udinese’s Oumar Solet but Atletico Madrid are threateningg the chase.
Get Italian Football News have looked at how the Nerazzurri how come close to an agreement in the last few weeks.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported now that things may not be as easy. Atletico Madrid’s concrete interest could soon translate into a written offer.
Inter have long had an agreement with the defender, who is waiting to see if and when he can move to Milan, a city he himself has expressed a strong appreciation for, sending a very clear signal. But an agreement with Udinese hasn’t been reached yet.
There’s a gap of a few million between the Friulian club’s asking price of around €25-30 million and Inter’s offer, which is around €20 million. So Atlético has sensed the right moment to make an appearance and is expected to send an initial offer to Udinese within a week.
Solet has been keen on joining Inter and those around him seem to be pushing for it too. They know Inter have missed out on Marco Palestra to Chelsea and pressurising them into a similar threat using Atletico Madrid could rush Inter into a deal.
