A scouting team from La Liga giants Atlético Madrid were in attendance at the recent international fixture between Denmark and Greece.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Christos Tzolis as the reason for the Rojiblancos’ trip.

Tzolis, for his part, is a 23-year-old attacker, who chiefly operates on the wing.

The Greek is in the midst of a fine opening to the term on the books of Belgian outfit Club Brugge, giving rise to 14 goal contributions in 17 appearances across all competitions.

Tzolis, in turn, was in from the off earlier this week, as Greece made the trip to Demark for a 2026 World Cup qualifier.

And watching on from the stands across the 90 minutes, as alluded to above, were representatives from Atlético Madrid.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third, the brass at the Metropolitano are keeping a close eye on Tzolis’ development.

And Atléti’s scouting team saw the former Norwich City talent find the net, too, his country’s only goal in a 3-1 defeat.
