Frozen out by Roberto de Zerbi since his nomination as Marseille’s new head coach, Ulisses Garcia (28) is looking for pastures new and is gathering interest from Bundesliga outfit FC Augsburg, according to Foot Mercato.

Despite arriving last winter on a €4M deal from Young Boys Berne, Garcia’s journey could already have come to an end. If so, the Switzerland international will not live long in the fans’ memory, as he failed to make a big impression in the half-season he competed. The 28-year-old left back took part in 14 games across all competitions but still managed to gather interest in the last few weeks.

According to Foot Mercato, Augsburg are interested in the left-footed defender. The Bundesliga outfit has already opened talks with Marseille but is yet to send a first proposal. Les Phocéens would not retain their left-back if Augsburg’s offer aligns on what they spent last winter for the Switzerland international.
