Anton Kade has not trained all week and looks set to miss Saturday's home match against Bayer Leverkusen.

According to BuLi News, head coach Manuel Baum said the midfielder's participation remains in doubt, with Kade having also missed last weekend's win in Frankfurt.

Kade was heavily involved in Augsburg's 3-0 victory over Schalke on Matchday one.

Baum added that Steve Mounie and Tim Breithaupt are still sidelined. Sima Suso has an adductor issue, while Faik Sakar has twisted his ankle.

Assessing the visitors, Baum said Leverkusen possess clear quality but Augsburg want to show across the season that opponents do not enjoy coming to Augsburg.

He also underlined competition for places, noting it is not just about the first eleven and that the squad's depth means no one can ease off.
