Aurélien Tchouaméni will be in Real Madrid’s squad for Sunday’s Clasico at 21:00 despite a training-ground clash with Federico Valverde, who will miss out.

According to Le Progres, the pair fought during Thursday’s session and were each fined 500,000 euros by Real Madrid, with no sporting suspensions.

Coach Alvaro Arbeloa said on Saturday that Tchouaméni will be included. He added the incident left Valverde with a head injury and the Uruguayan must rest for 10 to 14 days.

With no competitive ban imposed, the France international remains eligible to feature at Camp Nou.

Arbeloa praised the club’s swift response and the players’ apologies, declining to condemn them publicly. He said they had shown him what it means to be Real Madrid players and that he would not forget it.

He said both deserve to move on and continue fighting for the club, adding he would not allow the episode to cast doubt on their professionalism. He also downplayed the incident, calling the leak to the media a betrayal, and argued such flare-ups happen in dressing rooms, even recalling seeing a team-mate strike another with a golf club. What happens inside, he said, should stay there.
