Auxerre consider loan for former Brest winger Romain Faivre

AJ Auxerre are exploring a loan for Romain Faivre, 27, as they seek attacking reinforcements. According to L'Équipe, the former Brest winger is owned by Bournemouth.

Faivre is currently on loan at Saudi side Al-Taawoun, where his spell has not gone as planned. He has not featured since 23 October, and his league tally stands at five matches and one goal.

Auxerre had also considered bringing back Gaëtan Perrin, who left for Krasnodar last summer, on a short-term basis before stepping back from that idea.

Talks over Faivre are under way, with the division of his wages a key topic in negotiations.

Positive relations with Bournemouth, who loaned Hamed Junior Traoré to the Burgundy club last season, could help, though discussions are only just beginning.
