According to a report from Florian Plettenberg and confirmed by Fabrice Hawkins, Axel Tape (17) is set to join Bayer Leverkusen from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

The teenager is coming to the end of his contract at the end of this season and will reportedly join up with the former Bundesliga champions. Tape has already passed his medical and has signed a contract which will keep him in Germany until 2030.

Axel Tape: In and around the PSG squad this season

The versatile youth product who can play either in defence as a centre-back or in midfield made three appearances for PSG this season after being in and around the squad, occasionally being included on the bench.

In the Coupe de France, he played against amateur side Espaly and at the end of the campaign, he also made two appearances in dead rubber ties against RC Strasbourg Alsace (2-1 loss) and Montpellier HSC (4-1 win).
