Ben White’s injury adds to Arsenal’s defensive woes with Gunners already without Gabriel and Cristhian Mosquera
Mikel Arteta fears Arsenal are set for more “bad news” after Ben White became the latest player struck down by injury.
Arsenal have been hit hard by injuries in recent weeks, especially in defence, and Arteta bemoaned earlier this week how the Gunners are in a “dangerous circle”.
White is the latest player to pick an injury as he limped off during the first half of Saturday’s win over Wolves.
The right-back pulled up and grabbed his left hamstring when trying to get back and stop a Wolves counter attack.
“That is bad news, for sure,” said Arteta, when asked about White’s injury.
“It looks like a hamstring, so we don’t know the extent of that, but probably tomorrow, or the day after we will know more.
“He hasn’t played a lot of minutes because of the previous knee issue that he had.
“Then the moment that he started to get some momentum, he had to play a lot because we didn’t have any other solution.
“We had to even risk, today, Willy (William Saliba), because probably it wasn’t the best call to play 90 minutes.
“We were buying tickets for another injury, but we don’t have anybody else.”
